Manufacturers engaged in plastic modification, rubber vulcanization, film blow molding and lithium battery diaphragm production often encounter pitfalls when selecting melt pressure transmitters.

Common issues including poor corrosion resistance of diaphragms, mismatched parameters for working conditions, incompatibility with existing equipment, and a lack of compliant products for clean production lines directly boost reject rates, raise equipment operation and maintenance costs, and hinder production efficiency.

To address the diverse complex working conditions within the rubber and plastics industry, the GINS and GCMT series melt pressure sensors and transmitters from GRAEFF deliver reliable operational performance, excellent compatibility and extended service life, making them the preferred sensing solution for original equipment matching and production line technical upgrading in rubber and plastic extrusion processes.

Specialized in melt sensing, engineered for demanding rubber & plastics applications.

GRAEFF specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of pressure measurement & control components. Both the GINS and GCMT series have passed reliability verification under high-intensity, long-duration and complex industrial working conditions.

The main body of the instruments is constructed from 304 stainless steel. Diaphragms are available in a wide selection of premium materials including 15‑5PH, 17‑4PH, Hastelloy C276 and Inconel 718. They are fully applicable to extrusion processing of various polymer materials such as modified plastics, biodegradable materials, lithium battery separators and highly corrosive rubber compounds.

GINS Series

gins系列

It is applicable to most industrial rubber and plastics working scenarios, including conventional plastic extrusion, rubber compounding, wire & cable extrusion, pipe and profile extrusion, and pelletizing production lines.

Ultra-high Measurement Accuracy:Standard accuracy of ±0.5% FSO, equipped with 6-point refined calibration technology to ensure stable readings without signal drift.

Wide Measuring Range:Full coverage from 0~17.5 bar up to 2000 bar, compatible with working conditions ranging from low-foam extrusion to high-pressure injection molding.

Excellent High-temperature Adaptability:The diaphragm withstands a maximum temperature of 400℃, with zero point thermal drift controlled below 0.2 bar per 100℃, delivering consistent measurement under high temperatures at the extruder head.

Diversified Signal Output Options:Supports 2-wire 4-20mA, 4-wire 0-5V/0-10V voltage output, as well as 2.0mV/V and 3.3mV/V millivolt signals; directly connectable to PLCs, industrial instruments and extruder control cabinets.

Flexible Structural Options:Two configurations available: rigid stem and flexible capillary with customizable dimensions. Multiple mounting threads including 1/2-20UNF-2A, M14×1.5, M18×1.5 are offered to perfectly fit the drilling dimensions of mainstream domestic and imported extruders.

GCMT Series

产品2

Custom-engineered for extrusion applications involving food-grade plastics, pharmaceutical packaging raw materials and biodegradable materials. It serves as the optimal solution for extrusion production lines with hygiene compliance and clean manufacturing requirements.

Eco-friendly Filling Medium:Adopts NTX eco-alloy filling technology with no toxic leachables, complying with production compliance standards for food and pharmaceutical grade applications.

Titanium Alloy Protective Coating:The diaphragm surface is coated with a titanium alloy protective layer to resist material adhesion, abrasion and corrosion, perfectly suited for working conditions of high-viscosity modified materials and glass fiber reinforced plastics.

Superior Process Stability:Supports zero-point calibration under high-temperature conditions with enhanced thermal drift suppression at elevated temperatures, greatly reducing on-site calibration frequency and cutting operation & maintenance costs.

Consistent Core Hardware Design:It inherits the advantages of the GINS series including full measuring range coverage, multiple signal options and various mounting dimensions. With an IP65 ingress protection rating, it delivers reliable and durable performance in dusty and humid workshop environments

Core Value of the Two Series: Cutting Costs & Boosting Efficiency for Enterprises

Minimize Production Losses:Real-time and precise monitoring of melt pressure at the extruder head enables early warning of die blockage and sudden pressure surges, avoiding screw overpressure, die bursting and equipment abrasion, so as to cut downtime, waste material and maintenance expenses.

Standardize Production Processes:With excellent data consistency across units, these sensors help enterprises build a standardized production system, ensuring highly uniform product thickness, density and extrusion output stability.

Extended Service Life:Customizable diaphragms in multiple material options are targeted to suit corrosive media including PVC, PE, PP, rubber and modified compounds, greatly improving durability.

Easy Installation & Maintenance:Equipped with a standard 6-pin aviation connector and universal standardized mounting bore size, the sensors allow simple, efficient replacement, assembly, disassembly and commissioning on both new and legacy equipment

Targeted Application Selection Guide

Recommended Application Scenarios for GCMT Series:Internal rubber mixing, pharmaceutical compound extrusion, food-grade plastic products, biodegradable materials, and clean production lines for pharmaceutical packaging. It is applicable to working conditions featuring strong corrosion and strict compliance requirements.

Recommended Application Scenarios for GINS Series:General modified plastics, film blow molding, chemical fiber extrusion, lithium battery separators and conventional mass-production rubber & plastic lines. It boasts strong versatility and outstanding cost performance.

Customizable & Flexible Sourcing

Both GINS and GCMT series support customized configuration including thread specification, stem/capillary length, pressure range, signal type, diaphragm material and filling medium.

Rigid Stem Type:Designed for installations with limited equipment space and short-distance mounting close to the extruder head.

Flexible Capillary Type:Suitable for complex equipment layouts where the transmitter needs to be wired away from the high-temperature extruder head.

From ordinary rubber & plastic profiles and rubber products to high-end biodegradable materials, lithium battery production and pharmaceutical clean production lines, GRAEFF has become the preferred melt pressure measurement and control solution with outstanding cost performance and high reliability for the rubber and plastic extrusion industry, backed by strict industrial-grade quality control and verified on-site operational performance
