Zhejiang Academy of Quality Sciences is a public welfare institution of the second category directly under the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau at the deputy departmental level. Carry out scientific research and the transformation of achievements in the field of quality, and promote the application of new technologies;

Research, establish and maintain national metrological (basic) standards and social public metrological standards;

Undertake the technical support for product quality and safety risk monitoring, assessment and early warning, as well as the recall of defective products.

Carry out technical services such as inspection and testing, quality certification, and metrological calibration;

It has a laboratory area of 120,000 square meters, with equipment originally valued at over 900 million yuan, including 107 sets of high-value equipment worth over 1 million yuan.

It has undertaken 483 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, won 190 science and technology awards at all levels, and obtained 156 national invention patents.

Led the formulation (revision) of over 800 national, industry and provincial local standards, and participated in the formulation of international standards.

It holds 906 various business qualification certificates and 102 platform carriers, covering the entire field of metrology, standards, testing and certification.
